Programming is also what people like me pretend to do, by typing some random words into a fake programming language interpreter such as Visual Basic.

Indeed. Although, Max, I suppose that is programming. It's just not very difficult (for me ), and it's not as powerful, and it is designed for idiots, and there aren't as many tools or libraries available and it's not supported on nearly every OS known to man and there isn't a free interpreter and you have to do it from MS's IDE. But apart from that and all the other bad stuff, I love it!

and there aren't as many tools or libraries available There's still quite a few controls available, nearly every ActiveX control is supported by it because VB is a suitable container.

Yeah, all the Windows standard DLL's are available... but that's it! No Allegro... No SDL... etc.

No, Microsoft DDS. Are they buying the whole of JaGex or something? They already took over Lionhead...

MS DDS is Microsoft's DDS Library Shape Control. 'DDS' was not invented by Jagex, however the dragon dagger (s) was.

It was DDS until recently, and is still called DDS. Also the chances of someone offering to buy JaGex are acctually very high...

They'll offer but hopefully Andrew, Paul and Constant will decline. Otherwise there'll be an assault on JT.

It's technically a DDP(++), and Jagex did not invent the term DDS.

MS DDS is nothing to do with MS DOS...

Post by Dracion on Dec 20, 2006 11:04:31 GMT
I didn't say JaGex invented the term...It was Zezima obviously...
And, what about JS-DOS?
